How do you get more Google reviews from customers?

Happy customers never get around to leaving a review.

A good visit ends, the customer moves on, and unless someone asks, the review never gets written. Google's advice is to remind customers with a review link or QR code, which you create from your profile. Put the ask in the same place every time: the receipt, the thank-you email, the end of a chat.

Leaving a review takes customers too many taps.

Searching for the business, finding the listing, scrolling to the reviews and signing in all lose people along the way. A review link or QR code from your profile skips the search: the customer taps it and lands on your review form. They still need to be signed in to a Google Account, which they can set up with any email address.

Our worst review has sat unanswered for months.

An unanswered complaint gives the reviewer the last word with every reader who comes after. Google's advice for negative reviews: keep private details out, be honest about what went wrong without taking the blame for what you could not control, apologize where it fits, and reply promptly. The reviewer is notified of your reply and can update the review after reading it.

The business next to us has far more reviews.

Close the gap the way Google allows: ask every customer, every time, and keep at it. Google bans offering discounts or free goods for reviews, asking only the customers you expect to be happy, and pressing people to review while they are still on your premises. It also bars setting staff quotas for reviews. A steady ask, kept up for months, adds up.

How we handle your reviews.

  • A review link in every follow-up message
  • A QR card for the counter
  • A reply to every review, good or bad

You keep. The listing, its login and every photo.

Questions about Google reviews.

How can I get Google reviews?

Ask for them: create your review link or QR code in your Business Profile and send it after every job. Ask while the work is fresh, keep the message to a sentence, and ask everyone the same way. Google prohibits offering anything in return, including discounts or free goods and services.

How do I encourage clients to leave Google reviews?

Make the request part of how every job ends, so it never depends on anyone remembering. Google suggests putting the link on receipts and in thank-you emails, adding it at the end of a chat, and displaying the QR code in your store. Staff can mention it, but Google bars pressing anyone to review on the spot and setting quotas for staff.

How do I request customer reviews on Google Business?

In your Business Profile, open Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the link or download the QR code. Google notes the QR code can only be made from a computer browser for now. Share the link by text, email, WhatsApp or a social post, and print the code for the counter.

How do I respond to bad reviews?

Reply once, in your own words, politely and briefly: acknowledge the complaint, say what you can and cannot do, and apologize if it fits. Never post the customer's private details or argue in public; invite them to call or email so it can be settled privately. A fair reply can lead the customer to update the review. If a review breaks Google's content policies, flag it.

How do I ask customers for reviews?

Ask every customer the same way, right after the job, with one plain sentence and the link. Something like: thanks for choosing us, and if you have a minute, a Google review helps other people find us. Do not ask only the customers who seemed happy, and do not ask for particular words; Google prohibits both, along with any reward for reviewing.

How do I respond to bad reviews on Google?

In your Business Profile, select Read reviews, then Reply next to the review, write your answer and post it. The business must be verified first. Google checks each reply against its content policies, usually within ten minutes and sometimes up to 30 days, and the reply appears as the business, without your personal name.
