App development questions.
How long does it take to build an app?
Eight to sixteen weeks, depending on what it has to do. The first two weeks cut it down to the two jobs people will open it for. Then a test build lands on your phone every week, and the last two weeks are store review, the listings and the handover.
What do you need from us?
The two things the app must do, and Apple and Google developer accounts in your name. Their fees go to Apple and Google, and ongoing server costs sit outside our price too. We also need someone who will try each weekly build, because their notes shape the next one.
Who owns the app?
You do. At handover you get the repository with all the code, the store listings and the signing keys, so any developer can ship updates after us. The listings sit in your own developer accounts from the start, so nothing has to be transferred.
How to develop an app for small businesses?
Start with the one or two jobs customers would open it for, like reordering, booking or checking a status, and build those first. An app earns its place when it saves a returning customer time on every visit. Ours runs on iOS, Android and the web from one codebase, with a test build on your phone every week.
What is mobile app development for businesses?
It is building the app customers install on their phones to use a business's services, usually with sign in, payments and notifications. Ours pairs the phone apps with a web app on the same accounts, so one sign in works on all three. We build all of it from one codebase.
What is native iOS and Android development?
Native development means building each app with its platform's own tools, usually Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android, as two separate codebases. We build iOS, Android and web from one codebase instead, so one change ships to all three, and the store apps install and update like any other.
How to hire an app developer?
Ask to use something they built, on your own phone, before you sign. Then get the timeline and what the price covers in writing, and ask who will hold the code and the store accounts at the end. Our quote answers each of those within one business day.
Can I create an app for my business?
Yes. If customers come back often, to reorder, book or check on something, an app can save them steps the website cannot. If they buy once or twice a year, a fast website usually serves them better. Tell us the two things it must do, and the quote will say whether an app is the right tool.
